It's been a while since I made a product review. Oh well, it's time to share my experience with Pond's Gold Radiance Youthful Night Repair (with real gold microparticles) Cream! I've been using this night repair cream for almost 2 months now. I have forgotten the exact date I used the cream, but it's almost 2 months already, hence it's a perfect time to express my likes and dislikes about this product. I have acne prone, oily skin, so do take that into consideration as you read my review of Pond's Gold Radiance Youthful Night Repair.
Accordingly, throughout the history, GOLD has been used to beautify the skin. Cleopatra's believed to have used gold to retain her youthful appearance. GOLD has also been used in many skin products before and today. GOLD is a glittery pricey ingredient, so normally, you'd expect these GOLD containing beauty products to be heavy on your pockets. And Pond's Gold Radiance Youthful Night Repair along with the complete GOLD Radiance line from PONDS is no exception. The price for 50g Pond's Gold Radiance Youthful Night Repair is at 899 to 999 pesos. But one 50g jar can last probably up to 3 months. So while it is expensive, it can last you months of usage.
There's a spatula included in the product. It's a pretty good addition because it ensures you don't spread bacteria from your face to the cream.
The product should be used ideally at night, but there are times when
I'd use it in the morning especially when am just at home. The cream has this fresh smell which I like.It is not greasy when applied onto the skin. You just need a small amount of the cream per application. One thing I noticed however, is when I apply the cream in the morning. My skin tends to be more oily though out the day. Hence, I suggest you use the cream only at night.
You can definitely see the gold particles glittering on your face upon application of the cream. The cream gets absorbed by the skin so well. You can instantly see and feel your skin moisturized. It also provides some sort of coverage for your blemishes. But I won't recommend this as a base for your make up. It does make your skin oily or at least that's what I noticed.
Now, let's highlight what the product claims and review it on that context. Based on the packaging, which I don't have a picture to show because my camera's battery just went dead, it says:
"Wake up revived, refreshed and younger looking. Infused with real gold, this luxurious cream works while you sleep to regenerate your skin's own youthful radiance."
"Wake up revived, refreshed and younger looking. Infused with real gold, this luxurious cream works while you sleep to regenerate your skin's own youthful radiance."
Sounds good! ayt?! Is there a truth to this claim?
I must say "YES!!!" (and I just added three exclamation points to it)
Pond's Gold Radiance Youthful Night Repair cream does work for me. Every morning, I always see my face refreshed, revived, more moisturized, more plump, and firmer. I'm not sure if it did make my skin younger looking, but obviously am not seeing too many fine lines especially on my forehead. Unfortunately the product didn't lighten my acne scars. But then in the first place it's not meant to lighten scars, but I just thought I should mention it.
So will I purchase again? Yes if I can allocate some budget for it. I still have the 50g jar which should last for another month. But am definitely excited to try the other range of Pond's Gold Radiance :)
Till my next product review!
***I am not being paid by PONDS to do this review. I bought the product using my very own money.***
