5 Money and Time Saver Beauty Tips

Oftentimes our busy schedules hinder us from taking care of our precious self. So we tend to forget to do the things that we should be doing to keep ourselves looking beautiful. But this shouldn't be the case always. You can keep up with the demands of taking care of yourself with few money and time saver beauty tips.

1. Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize. You don't need to indulge in derm or skin clinics all the time. Just stick with the basic cleaning process and you should be fine.

2. Condition your hair. Too busy to go to a salon to get your hair treated. Then keep conditioning. Doing so helps your hair combat the damaging effects of the environment and the harsh chemicals you put your hair.

3. Keep your nails clean. You don't need those fancy colorful nail polish and designs. You just need to keep your nails clean all the time.

4. Skin the foundation and stick to concealers. You don't always need foundation. You can skip this routine and rather apply concealer on your blemishes. Concealers work perfect to hide those occasional acne you get. And don't forget to just dab it on and not rub the concealer.

5. Always wear sunscreen. This is the best tip by far I can share. Never skip wearing your sunscreen, whether it's sunny or not outside. Just wear one.

Setting up your domain from Name.com with blogger's free hosting is very easy. Just follow these simple steps and you'll be fine.

1. Login to your Name.com account.
2. Click account.

3. Choose the domain you want to use.

4. Click UR Forwarding and enable it.

5. Point your domain to your blogger blog  example: www.ticklethythoughts.blogspot.com

6. Click DNS Record Management and create a CNAME record. Use these values:

Your Facebook account could be hacked!

Facebook hack/ Facebooking profile hacking started when facebook came into existence.  No brainer.. of course! Facebook has put up a lot of security measures to prevent Facebook profile photo hacking which was so rampant back then. But hackers never run out of ideas to hack facebook accounts. Just browse youtube and you will find so many videos about software to hack facebook. Of course don't you dare download those files or else you will be sorry as most of these are virus, trojans that as a result will hack your computer and steal your privacy.

However, there are indeed facebook hacking tools online, I believe, which makes us all vulnerable when hackers decide to target us. Just recently I noticed a new way of hacking facebook. Not the usual "fake facebook login page", but still quite similiar. Hackers will send messages to your email. The email purportedly comes from facebook something like 

"John Doe commented on your photo..(facebook link)"

When you click on the link you will find a fake "Facebook Login Page". When you login, voila! Your facebook username and password are now hacked.

So be very careful. I was almost fooled by these fake email messages allegedly coming from facebook. Never open facebook using the links provided in your emails. Go directly to the facebook login page and you are better safe at that.

Nokia 5800 Screen Problem: How To Solve (VIDEOS)

I own a Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic phone. And in my earlier post I made mention about me getting a new phone because my Nokia 5800 phone doesn't function well anymore. One of the major problems was the screen. The screen goes blurry,dim and sometimes turns completely black. I can't see the text on the phone nor can I check the contacts etc.

What seems to be the problem? Could be the LCD, so  I had the phone checked and yes, I was right, there was a problem with the LCD. However, the cost of getting a new LCD is 2,500 pesos or  more or less $30. I am not rich and as much as possible I try to save money. In short, I did not replace the LCD.

I searched online for possible solutions and gladly I found these two videos. The temporary solution works but not all the time. But at least it makes my phone usable again. The permanent solution I am yet to try. I will update on what happens then, if it works or not.

Banana Mask for Oily Skin

Oily skin is a common problem for many men and women. A person with oily skin is prone to acne breakouts and have larger pores, not to mention the dirty greasy look and feel. I should know because I myself have oily skin.

The only advantage with having an oily skin is it slows the showing of fine lines and wrinkles. Other than that, having an oily skin is a major problem.

Today, I will introduce a "Banana Mask" recipe for oily skin. Like, what I've been emphasizing, I'm going natural when it comes to taking care of my body.

So these are what you need:

1. Ripe Banana
2. Honey
3. Lemon

Procedure:

• Just mix these three ingredients together. Mash the banana with a fork or spoon or you can use your handy blender to blend the ingredients together.

Application:

• Apply the banana mask evenly on your face for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse it off with soap and water.

You can also add some sugar on your mask for gentle exfoliation. To keep you oil free during the day, try using oil control facial products. I will share some good oil control facial products I'm using in my next article. Watch out for it.

Tomatoes for Clearer Skin!

I'm going natural in clearing my skin of acne and unwanted skin problems. Instead of spending money on expensive cosmetic and skin care products which only drains my pocket, I just head to the kitchen for effective, low cost cure.

In my earlier post, I introduced "Lemon" as my anti pimple, anti scar home remedy.

Today, I'm sharing another natural remedy for acne and scars- Tomatoes.

The first time I heard about tomato juice applied directly on the skin was from a local celebrity- beauty queen. I tried applying tomato on my face after that but never applied it again, not until the past weeks after my acne break outs.

First, why tomato? What is in tomato that helps clear up the skin? Tomatoes are rich in lycopene which are anti-oxidants. The anti-oxidants are what help our bodies get rid of toxins. and free radicals that damage our body's collagen. Many of the cosmetic products nowadays contain lycopene because of it's anti-oxidants.

Tomatoes also contain vitamin C which is essential in skin repair and in the production of collagen for skin elasticity.

Tomatoes also contain vitamin A which helps keep the skin younger looking and helps in the formation of new cells.

Tomatoes also contain anti inflammatory properties. Hence it helps in reducing swelling brought about by pimples and also prevent skin blemishes.

How to apply:

1. Eat Tomatoes. Make it part of your everyday diet.
2. Apply tomatoe juice directly on your face before shower. Leave it on for 2 minutes to 5 minutes before rinsing it off. Remember to conduct a skin test first.

How To Get Rid of Pimple Scars Fast

How to get rid of pimple scars fast? There are variety of products you can use to help get rid of ugly pimple scars.

1. Whitening creams and peel off creams are flooding the market. You just need to pick one that suits you best. Remember to always do a skin test before you apply anything on your face. It only takes a few minutes to a few hours for your skin to be damaged and it will take months to repair it. So do not skip the skin test.

2. You can also try facial scrubs to help shed off the dead skin. Go for mild facial scrubs, those with micro beads. Try not to scrub too hard and don't overdo the scrubbing or you end up doing more damage to your skin. I suggest you scrub your face only once a week because the skin itself has the ability to take off dead skin. We only need to assist it in the process.

3. Go natural. Get one piece of lemon. Cut it half. Squeeze the juice out and dub it on your pimple scars. Leave it for 2 minutes to 5 minutes before washing your face with water. Do this at least thrice a week. As usual do the skin test first so you will know how much your skin can tolerate. Too much exposure of the skin to the juice can cause skin burn.

You can also add a lemon juice to your pimple to help aid in the healing process and to prevent future scarring.

4. Take Vitamin E. Vitamin E is known anti-oxidant and it is good for the skin. It also helps in the healing process and in the eradication of scars. Take it at least thrice a week. Remember over dosage of vitamin E is harmful. Do not put the vitamin e on your face. The vitamin e oil is too heavy for the skin to absorb and more often than not can cause clogged pores.

5. Eat Healthy. Skip the sodas and the junk foods. Eat fruits and vegetables and increase your water intake so your body can flush out toxins more efficiently.
