Tea Tree Oil to Treat Acne: Tea Tree Spot Stick Review

Tea Tree Oil is very effective in treating acne and other skin disorders. Tea Tree Oil has anti fungal, anti viral, anti bacterial properties. Here are a few of the disorders that Tea Tree Oil can cure:

1. Bad Breath
2. Cold Sores
3. Body Odor
4. Acne

Tea Tree Oil is obtained from the leaves of Melaleuca Alternifolia, a plant native to Australia. You can find tea tree oil in stores and in beauty shops. Tea Tree Oil is also a major component of many beauty products such as lotions, creams, gels, etc.

Tea Tree oil due to its anti bacterial property kills skin dwelling bacteria that causes acne. Tea Tree Oil is effective as spot treatment on pimples and other skin disorders.

I use tea tree oil now to help control my breakouts. And yes I am now acne free, but I still have scars on my face. My beauty regimen will be revealed in my upcoming post. So if you want to know all the products I use to stop acne, you can subscribe to my blog now or just follow me on facebook.. :)

Anyway, back to Tea Tree Oil... I bought a Tea Tree Spot Stick with natural tea tree and peppermint oils. I use it as spot treatment for my acne and other skin blemishes.  Of course you can use the tea tree oil per se without peppermint if you want. Just buy one at drug stores or department stores. I, however find the Tea Tree Spot Stick very handy and effective.

I bought this one at WATSONS for Php 159.00. The peppermint gives you that cool soothing feeling. I apply it on my pimples, red bumps and other skin problems. It is very effective. The 8ml bottle which I bought should last up to 3 months.

P.S. I have no more acne now. I'm left with a few scars though. I will give you an update on my beauty regimen, with a step by step guide on how I successfully put an end to my acne problems. Please follow me on facebook and twitter..

  2. @anonymous, yes you can use it.. mga 1 month na rin akong gumagamit nito. but if you have severe acne, you should detox first from the inside.. Choose the foods you eat carefully. Cleanse, tone and moisturize. Drink plenty of water. Have enough sleep.

Ang tea tree oil is for spot treatment only. You should combat acne before it starts, that is by following a healthy diet and lifestyle. :)

  3. Hi. I bought this spot stick a while ago. I really hope it'll work for me too. :) I used to have acne in my high school days, but it's gone now, I only get a pimple or two occasionally. haha. And yet, that occasional pimple is way too big and red, so it's still embarassing.
Anyways, I'm also working on lightening my pimple scars. I tried Garnier Light whitening cream, like you did, but I guess I was too impatient. I ditched the product only after two weeks without getting any positive result. It's because my scars did not get any lighter. Should I wait a little more longer? Can you recommend other scar lightening products which could give me better/faster results? Thank you very much. :)

  4. @anonymous,

go natural to lighten those pimple marks. I prefer natural remedies.

First, do take at least 8 glasses of water daily. Hydration is very important in achieving healthy skin.

Do your regular beauty regimen. Then apply lemon juice on the acne marks for a minute or two in the morning. Then rinse it off. (don't forget the skin test first) Then apply your moisturizer preferably with sunblock.

During night time, apply tomato on your face for a few minutes say 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse it off. Apply your regular nigh time cream.

Sorry, I can't give you scar lightening products. I choose to go natural. Well, today, I did make a trip to the grocery and I was about to buy Maxipeel for curiousity's sake to make a review. But then I read it has hydroquinone, the prolong use of which can cause hyperpigmentation and increased sun sensitivity. I don't use garnier now too.. Like I said, Im going natural.

Anyway, i hope you can try those natural products i've mentioned.. I can't emphasize this any less, WATER! :) take care and God bless!

  6. hi.. I'm reading articles about tea tree oil. I think it is really good for treating acne. but I don't know if it is good to my face. I'm seeking for a soap or any treatment that is just mild for my blackheads on nose, cheeks and chin because my face is combination of dry and oily (oily in my tzone area).
